Alex Chuk

Alexander Chuk is a freelance vocal coach and audio engineer. Graduated from University of California: San Diego, majoring in Interdisciplinary Computing, Arts and Music. He has recorded/mixed/produced and managed live sound for a wide variety of music including classical, musical theatre, pop, and experimental music.

He is currently conducting the treble choir of Christian and Missionary Alliance Sun Kei Primary School which won Gold Prize in the Joint School Music Competition (2018); and is coaching the a cappella group of New Asia Middle School. Alexander was also the vocal coach for Diocesan Boys’ School Senior and Mixed Choir for the 9th World Choir Games Tishwane(2018), having won the open class Male and Mixed categories, which made the Senior Choir the INTERKULTUR top male ranking choir worldwide.

Active in the International singing community, Alexander has participated in various international choral events. He has been an active member and soloist of the Diocesan Choral Society, which was the finalist in the First World Choral Championships in Japan (2019), Grand Champion of Tokyo International Choral Competition (2018), and have won the Gold Medals of the 6th, 7th, 8th, 10th World Choir Games in Male, Mixed, Youth Male, Youth Mixed and Musica Sacara categories. In 2015, Alexander sung with the Westminster Chorus and was crowned the International Barbershop Chorus Champion. Recently Alexander has performed with the Youth People’s Chorus as a chorister and soloist at their concert “Blossom” (2019).

Alexander sings bass with pop acappella groups O’Blue Acappella, Metappella and jazz vocal group 做乜Jazz, which was awarded Gold Medal at the World Contemporary A Cappella Competition in Taiwan (2018).
